Windows XP is possibly Microsoft's best version of Windows to date. It has now been replaced by Windows Vista, but it still holding strong with support from computer manufacturers and customers alike, causing Microsoft to keep extending it's life.
What makes Windows XP better than Windows Vista? For me, the answer is simple. Windows XP works, it's proven and stable. It provides all that is needed in an OS, without too much bloat. It can run on lower system specs, but has the ability to run the likes of Aero (as an add on if wanted). It plays games better because the base OS is using less resources.
Regardless of what I think, Windows XP is on it's way out, and Vista in. But talks of Windows 7 have already begun, and the hype should start to grow online with the greatness to replace the flop that is Vista.
