Privacy Policy

Without getting into legal mumbo-jumbo, here is the SavageReactor privacy policy, in plain English.

The main SavageReactor site, at present collects only a standard web server log. This includes:

Cookies

Cookies are not used by the www.savagereactor.co.uk domain, however I cannot guarantee that third party content added to the pages will not use cookies from other domains (e.g. Google Adsense, Youtube videos etc.). Some sub-domains may require the use of cookies, for example webmail.savagereactor.co.uk uses cookies.

Site Registrations

Some sub-domains of SavageReactor may require registration in order to provide you with a service, in these circumstances, any personal information that you provide will never be released to third parties unless required to do so by law.

Phorm/Webwise Prohibited

The contents of this site, and communications between this site and its users, are protected by database right, copyright, confidentiality and the right not to be intercepted conferred by section 1(3) of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. The use of those contents and communications by Internet Service Providers or others to profile or classify users of this site for advertising or other purposes is strictly forbidden.

Phorm Users

When you access SavageReactor, your IP address is given to the server. If your IP address matches that of an ISP associated with Phorm and/or Webwise, or another advertising service that uses traffic interception, you will be re-directed to a secure connection. This is to protect the content on this web site from unauthorized interception by your ISP.

Server SSL Certificates

SavageReactor makes use of SSL (secure sockets layer) to provide encryption.

The main domain (www.savagereactor.co.uk), has a valid certificate signed by GeoTrust, all other sub-domains use a self-signed certificate. The self-signed certificate will cause a warning to be displayed in your browser, if you are attempting to use an area of SavageReactor which uses the self-signed certificate, you must accept it in order to use the service.

You can import the certificate in Internet Explorer by clicking 'View Certificate' and then 'Install Certificate' when the warning dialog is displayed. Firefox users can permanently accept the certificate on the warning dialog. This is of course your choice.
